EMTT and You

There are many ways that you can heal a sports injury. However, you want to ensure that the method or practice you are utilizing is the most effective and healthy option. Every person who obtains an injury should have a personalized plan to treat their injury, developed with their care team, that can quickly allow the person to return to normal activities. Least invasive options should be considered first, including techniques like Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy.

What is EMTT?

Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) is a treatment for those experiencing pain. It is considered a soft tissue engineering therapy, with impulses in voltage to aid in pain-reducing. It is regenerative medicine technology that is highly recommended for those with inflammation, acute pain, neuropathic pain, or degenerative pathologies. It is effective for those with musculoskeletal system diseases, overused muscles, bone fractures, and arthritis. Many athletes use this treatment to easily target tendons and speed up post-surgery healing.

How Does it Work?

EMTT therapy delivers high energy magnetic pulses to targeted tissues to reset and accelerate the healing response in dysfunctional cells.  EMTT waves can penetrate deep tissues up to 18 cm beneath the skin’s surface, to target difficult-to-reach tendons, muscles, bones, and nervous tissues. When delivered with the right intensity and frequency, EMTT synchronizes with the body’s magnetic fields to trigger a regenerative response.

What Does Treatment Look Like?

EMTT is delivered via a freestanding applicator with minimal contact with the skin.  EMTT sessions are easy to tolerate, with minimal discomfort, and no known negative side effects. You can remain fully clothed while receiving treatment which may last between 5 and 12 minutes per area and condition being treated.

Benefits of EMTT

  • Patients do not need to undress for EMTT sessions.
  • Therapy sessions are short, lasting from 5-20 minutes.
  • EMTT is non-invasive and touch-free technology.
  • There is minimal to zero discomfort.
